Job Brief
CV Screen were approached to source a Financial Controller with manufacturing experience by company within the commodities sector.
Based in Greater Manchester, the organisation specified that the candidate should have experience within the £10mn to £20mn bracket and have experience of managing a small team.
Recruitment Process
CV Screen conducted a thorough search of both our own database, online Job Boards and LinkedIn. Our initial focus was to shortlist candidates with manufacturing experience who were based within 30 miles of the Head Office. The next part of the process was to speak to these candidates to understand if they had experience in the £10mn to £20mn range.
The net result was that we spoke to 14 candidates, which was whittled down to six who were presented to the organisation. Three of these candidates were interviewed before Mark secured the role after a 2nd stage interview.
About Mark
Mark’s most recent role was as a Financial Controller for a Manufacturing firm based in Bolton, he was looking to leave his current role due to some uncertainties about the position being moved to Ireland. He had worked with businesses ranging from £2mn to £30mn over his career and managed a team of up to six.
The role we discussed with him was within 30 minutes of his home and offered him job security and a fresh challenge after four years in his current role.
